HYUNDAI STEEL Acquires Offshore Wind Farm Certification from Det Norske Veritas

news-details

HYUNDAI STEEL announced on Aug. 30 that its Ulsan Plant 2 recently obtained a renewable energy offshore wind farm certification from Det Norske Veritas (DNV), a Norwegian classification society. This certification ensures Hyundai Steel meets basic criteria for both domestic and international offshore wind projects.

HYUNDAI STEEL has supplied steel pipes for substructures at the Jeju Hanlim offshore wind farm and completed supplying large steel pipes of 690 Mpa grade for Hyundai Engineering and Steel Industries’ offshore wind installation ship “Hyundai Frontier.” Additionally, they’ve been securing consecutive orders for major projects, such as supplying substructure steel pipes for the Taiwan TPC offshore wind project.

A HYUNDAI STEEL representative stated, “Based on the DNV certification and our track record in domestic and international projects, we aim to expand our partnership with global customers by providing reliable products.”
